Job Details:

The Senior Application Support Engineer (Sr. ASE) receives escalated cases from

within Support Group (L1/ L2) and other internal stakeholders experiencing issues

with platform / LMS. The Senior ASE confirms issues then uses various tools/skill

sets to correct or escalate the issue. Creates application-level solutions as well as

customized data reports to further assist in supporting our product and clients. This

position also supports existing ASE personnel by aiding in the advancement of their

skill sets as well as providing mentoring and overview of their work product.

Key Responsibilities:

 Identify and provide resolutions or recommendations ranging in complexity

from high to complex.


 Write stored procedures, functions, data monitoring procedures, and other

SQL based tools to assist with reports, data analysis, and data monitoring.

 Use all the available tools to troubleshoot and solve issues and meet the

needs of internal and external customers.

 Understand how to analyze queries to optimize performance.

 Implement Unit testing processes within developed and existing code base

using current technologies.

 Understands code repositories and how to correctly utilize them within a large

team environment.

 Develop, sustain, and evaluate delegated business processes and related

applications.

 Maintain good professional relationships with counterparts of engineering and

customer support departments.

 Install and prepare tools required to assist in business functionality.

 Organize and implement projects ranging from medium to large.

 Prepare appropriate documentation of all issues and solutions.

 Build custom performance reports and monitoring dashboards.

 Execute proactive support tasks to detect application malfunctions ahead of

time and reduce time to solution.

 Obtain an understanding of key business needs and align the support team

accordingly.

 Troubleshoot and resolve issues in web application environments.


Must-Have Skills/Competencies:

 SQL Scripting (Either direct SQL queries for Insert/ Update for Prod issues) or

via C# scripting or via Postman API's

 Mongo DB Scripting

 PowerShell Scripting
