Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Lead to oversee our Data Engineering team. The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in PySpark, Big Data platforms, and cloud-native services, with the ability to lead complex projects from inception to delivery. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of large-scale data pipelines using PySpark and other Big Data technologies.
  • Manage and mentor a team of data engineers to deliver high-quality data solutions for various business use cases.
  • Architect and optimize data storage solutions using Apache Hive, Parquet, and other technologies.
  • Ensure the delivery of end-to-end data pipelines for reporting, system integration, and API/web service use cases.
  • Oversee data quality and governance practices, ensuring that solutions meet business and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address data needs in cloud-native environments.
  • Provide strategic input on data architecture, technology stack, and best practices.
  • Conduct data analysis using SQL and provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Apply data modeling principles in developing efficient data consumption patterns.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 6-8+ years of experience in data engineering, with hands-on leadership experience.
  • Proven track record with PySpark, Big Data platforms, and Apache Hive/Parquet.
  • Experience leading multiple end-to-end Big Data projects across different business domains.
  • Proficiency in cloud-native services with demonstrated project experience.
  • Strong data analysis skills using SQL and ability to work with complex datasets.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and its application in various scenarios.
  • Experience with Azure Synapse is desirable.
