Project Engineer Job Description

A Project Engineer is accountable for all engineering and technical disciplines within a project. Their goal is to ensure project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. Here are the key responsibilities:

  • Planning and Coordination:
  • Prepare, schedule, and coordinate assigned engineering projects.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
  • Interact daily with the project managers and interpret their needs and represent them to the project team on the site.
  • Perform basic project engineering functions involving monitoring of progress, preparation of procedures, documentation of communications and meetings, and identification/evaluation of project issues and problems
  •  Supports efforts of technical disciplines to ensure integrated and complete designs that meet project requirements
  •  Support design efforts with vendors and licensors to ensure proper and complete integration
  •  Other duties as assigned



  • Quality Control and Reporting:
  • Perform overall quality control of work, including budget, schedule, plans, and personnel performance.
  • Regularly report on project status.
  • Team Management:
  • Assign responsibilities to project team members.
  • Mentor and guide the project team.
  • Collaboration:
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with project managers and other participants.
  • Provide assistance and technical support.


Requirements and Skills

To excel as a Project Engineer, you should have:

  • Proven working experience of more than 5 years as a Project Engineer.
  • Excellent knowledge of the design and visualization software – AutoCAD.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
  • Should be willing to work PAN India as well as abroad.


Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering

·       5+ years’ experiences as a Project Engineer

·       Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
