Job Title: AI architect / Competency lead

Location: Hyderabad

Role Description: In the role of Competency / COE Lead for AI and Advance Analytics practice.


  • Build and manage AI competency/ COE to cater to various projects and services requirements from North America, Europe, and Emerging Markets geo. The competency includes Predictive / Generative AI, Graph Data science, Computer vision, Advanced analytics and data visualization.
  • This role is a global competency role
  • All the team members in the competency will be mapped to report to this role (Bench resources will have solid line reporting to TRM, allocated talent on accounts will have dotted line reporting)
  • Collaborates with Technical Resource Manager for Utilization

Goals:

  • Competency Development (hiring, gap analysis)
  • Fulfilment (with TRM)
  • Training/Entablements (with TRM)
  • Architecture/Design/ Solutions and Reviews
  • Building accelerators, frameworks, Ips, differentiators
  • Mentoring and Coaching


Responsibilities:

  • Competency Development
  • Developing Skills in the competency.
  • Accountable for growing the competency & overall efficiency.
  • Knowledge and skills enhancements (new functionalities / technologies) for team members
  • Cross Skilling the associates for projects
  • Driving the Technical Certifications for team members


Delivery Interventions:

  • Leading from the front to engage customer in innovative solution design using AI and emerging technologies
  • Provide technical interventions on delivery where needed/upon request from Account teams
  • Conduct Project Reviews
  • Adopt Best Practices across the accounts


Fulfilment & Enablement:

  • Hiring and fulfilment for the accounts
  • Knowledge and skills enhancements (new functionalities / technologies) for team members
  • Cross Skilling the associates for projects
  • Collaborate with RMG in hiring and optimizing utilization on accounts


Innovation Center:

  • Lead competency efforts on Innovation center initiatives to build differentiators

Practice Operations:

  • Perform competitive analysis of products and technologies, provide technical consultation,
  • Participate in Presales, POC, review and validate estimates, validate complex solution design and bring in required technical leadership and differentiation on proposals.
  • Create accelerators, tools, best practices and IPs/ solutions
  • Provide thought leadership thru white papers, technical blogs, point of views, presentations and attending technical seminars etc.
  • You will guide the team technically and work closely with project or practice architects offshore, as QA and mentor for scaling them up. You will require effective people management of entire technical pool in terms of project assignments based on skills and guiding them on career path thru recommendations of training & enablement.

People Development:

  • Responsible for monitoring skill levels and improving the skills wherever necessary.
  • Retention & Career Development of Team Members
  • Build capacity and skills
  • Supporting in Resource Acquisition & Selection procedures.
  • Create and Manage Career plans for the associates falling under the COE (across the Engineering groups and Accounts)


Planning, Monitoring & Control:

  • Work with QATA offering leads to understand sales forecast and conduct fulfilment planning
  • Fulfilment Dashboard (For both Proactive & Reactive hiring) - Monthly
  • Trainings & Certifications Dashboard (Their sync up with Demand forecast) – Monthly
  • Projects Technical Review Summary – Monthly
  • Cross Trainings Summary – Quarterly
  • Hiring Review Calls - Weekly
  • IP/ Accelerator/Solution Development to create differentiators

Who Reports to this Role?

Leads/Architects will have dotted line reporting when they are on projects,

Leads/Architects will have solid line reporting when not on projects


Desired Skills and Experience:

Creating and managing Data & AI CoE/ Large scale solution architecture or transformation projects. Collaboration and negotiation skills to tackle ambiguity and conflicts.


Basic:

  • Bachelor or Graduate degree or foreign equivalent required.
  • At least 10 years of IT experience with at least 5 years of experience in managing team of Data / AI professionals or solution ownership of multiple complex software testing programs involving 50+ team.
  • Should have built a strong brand thru white papers, technical blogs, IPs, presentations and awards for excellence in technology

Preferred:

  • Experience to Retail, Financial/ Insurance or Healthcare domains
  • High Analytical skills
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment & mobility to visit clients for workshops etc. at short notice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A high degree of initiative and flexibility
