- Job Overview:
- The Group Insurance Head will play a crucial role in overseeing the organization's corporate insurance strategies, risk management, and claims processes. Reporting to the Group CFO, this position is responsible for ensuring that the company's insurance portfolio is optimized to provide comprehensive coverage for assets, liabilities, employees, and operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing corporate insurance, particularly within the manufacturing sector, and possess strong negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills.
- The Group Insurance Head will lead a team of insurance professionals, develop and implement insurance strategies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. A key part of the role will be managing the end-to-end insurance claims process and working closely with insurers, brokers, and internal teams to mitigate risks and resolve claims efficiently. This leadership position requires someone with a strategic mindset, the ability to manage complex insurance portfolios, and a commitment to continuous improvement within the team.
- Key Responsibilities:
a) Insurance Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive insurance strategies for the organization.
- Ensure optimal coverage for assets, liabilities, employees, and operations.
b) Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Identify potential risks and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to minimize exposure to risks.
c) Policy Management:
- Oversee the procurement and renewal of insurance policies, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Review and negotiate terms with insurance providers to secure the best deals.
d) Claims Management:
- Manage the end-to-end process of insurance claims, ensuring timely and accurate settlements.
- Liaise with insurers, brokers, and internal stakeholders for efficient claim resolution.
e) Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies related to insurance.
- Prepare and present reports on insurance coverage, claims, and risk management to senior management.
f) Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of insurance professionals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing within the team.
