As a Senior Business Analyst with 8 yrs to 12 yrs of experience your primary responsibility is to guide clients in designing Data Management solutions. Leveraging your blend of business acumen and technical expertise, you will assist clients in capturing requirements, understanding, and profiling data and defining target state solution. Additionally, you will play a key role in creating and managing a product backlog, actively participating and leading sprint planning, prioritization, and backlog grooming sessions. 

Main responsibilities: 

  • Scoping and Planning: Facilitate discussions with the client to gather information and structure it effectively. 
  • Assist the client in agreeing on the scope of work and milestones. 
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop a comprehensive delivery plan. 

  • Business Requirements Gathering: Gather and document business requirements for data management initiatives. 
  • Drive the requirements gathering process, ensuring alignment with the delivery of business value and solution architecture. 

  • Knowledge of Conceptual/Logical Models: Demonstrate the ability to comprehend the business context. 
  • Build conceptual, logical models, and dimensional modeling based on the business context. 

  • End-to-End Data Solution Definition: Perform data profiling, linking data realities to requirements and assessing data quality. 
  • Define a complete end-to-end data flow, encompassing the journey from source to target. 
  • Produce a data mapping sheet that captures all pertinent business scenarios. 

  • Knowledge of Best Practices: Implement best practices such as bitemporal versioning and the construction of immutable products. 
  • Conduct workshops with Business SMEs, Data Owners, and Business Owners to grasp current data challenges and formulate data management solutions for the target state. 

  • Solution Definition: Understand the client’s data, understand how data is consumed based on that come up with a target data solution 
  • Ask the business SMEs the right questions to support the above (manage QnA and ensure it is recorded) 
  • Define, document and agree the guiding principles based on which we define the target solution and agree them with the client. 


Define the target data solution based on data modelling / design best practices. 

Lead requirement prioritization and planning. 

Create and manage the product backlog. 

Develop data mastering solutions. 

Define conceptual and logical data models. 

Define and validate solution success criteria and integrate it within product backlog. 

Define and validate with the business test strategies and test cases. 

Work closely with the technical team to define the physical data model.

Must-have: 

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience you should have a robust background in project work related to Data, BI/Analytics, and Data Warehousing, specifically focusing on data integration tools and concepts. Your most recent experience should prominently feature roles in Data Management, Data Quality (DQ), or Data Governance (DG). 
  • An in-depth knowledge of data management/data governance concepts, approaches, methodologies and tools. Knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK is considered as an asset (a CDMP certification is a plus). 
  • Practical experience of implementing a Data Management platform, Data Lake/Warehouse or a Data Governance solution implementation and management 
  • Stakeholder Management on high paced business 
  • Project Management - Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, PMI methodologies.
