Job Description

The Finance Senior Associate role is for the AVPN group. The candidate will get exposure to working in the social sector in Asia. The candidate will be engaged in diverse Finance activities like issuing invoices, processing payments, accounting, reconciliations, monthly closing, audit, etc. The activities will cover multiple entities of the group. The role holder will report to the Finance Manager. AVPN is an equal opportunity employer and all applicants will be considered for employment without discrimination.

Responsibilities

  • Generate proforma and tax invoices for the India entity and ensure proper accounting
  • Update details of incoming funds for the group in SalesForce and Quickbooks
  • Check reimbursement claims from team members
  • Updation of vendor payment details in Quickbooks
  • Preparation of bank reconciliation statement
  • Preparing payroll for India based employees
  • Monthly closing activities
  • Provide support to the Finance Manager for GST and TDS returns in India.
  • Provide support during annual statutory audit and internal audit.
  • Finance related ad hoc support to other teams

Requirements

  • BCom with 8-10 years of experience managing finance department of a small to mid-size organisation
  • Strong accounting and data analysis skills
  • General curiosity, entrepreneurial mindset and proactive, independent practice
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in Tally will be an advantage.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively to large and small groups
  • Willingness to learn and adapt amid new and shifting priorities with a ‘can-do,’ solutions-oriented approach to problem solving
