IMS System Programmer

Role:

Install, update, and administer Mainframe IMS subsystems and related ISV products. Perform changes within Company regulations and security standards. Assist with testing, implementation, and installation of new/improved systems, as well as product upgrades. Attend meetings and interact regularly with management, team, and clients to continuously improve services. Participate in On-Call rotation schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Installing/upgrading IBM IMS subsystem.
  • Monitoring of IMS regions, performance tools like Mainview, Omegamon, SYSVIEW.
  • Knowledge on administration tasks using various IMS DB/DC Commands.


Preferred Skills:

  • Installation, maintenance, problem diagnosis and administration of IMS DB DC
  • JCL, ISPF, and SMP/E proficiency.
  • IMS Level 3 System Program Skills.

z/OS System level Skills. DB2, CICS, REXX Skills
