Responsibilities
  • Application Development: Develop and support applications for all aspects of fund administration within a modern financial services organization, including areas such as fund accounting, risk reporting, margin management, tax reporting, treasury, and investor relations.
  • Automation Focus: Prioritize automation to streamline processes and meet processing requirements in a Linux/Unix environment, primarily using Java.
  • Financial Computations: Implement and maintain financial computations that are integral to the fund's operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial reporting and management tasks.
  • System Integration: Work with existing systems, such as Advent Geneva or SWIFT, to integrate new functionalities and improve overall system performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and improve existing applications to meet the evolving needs of the organization and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
  • Educational Background: A degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics, or a related field, with an outstanding academic record.
  • Programming Expertise: Strong analytical and programming skills, with experience in Java or Kotlin and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Financial Knowledge: A background in fund accounting, tax, risk management, or financial computations is considered a plus.
  • System Experience: Experience with financial systems such as Advent Geneva or SWIFT is also considered a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex financial data and processes, translating them into efficient, automated systems.
Location

This role is based in Pune, Maharashra with a goal for the team to work from the office 5 days a week and we will even offer work and stay arrangements at our hushh garages as an option to our early hushhers. We offer hybrid and remote work options, but regular in-office collaboration is encouraged to maintain team synergy and innovation. Candidates should be located near New York or Kirkland or be open to relocation.
