Job Role: Project Manager - IT Services

Location: Remote

Experience: 5-8 years in project management in IT services

Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Coordination
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of 15-25 professionals, including technical experts, business analysts, functional specialists, and interns.
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, status update meetings, and task tracking to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Empower and mentor team members to enhance skills and competencies, with a particular focus on developing interns into high-performing professionals.
  • Promote a collaborative, high-performance culture within the team.
2. Project Execution & Delivery
  • Oversee end-to-end project execution, ensuring milestones are met, budgets are adhered to, and deliverables are of high quality.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks to avoid project delays or disruptions.
  • Drive innovation and best practices in project management methodologies.
3. Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their requirements, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Provide clear and consistent communication of project progress, challenges, and solutions to clients and internal management.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients, fostering trust and partnership.
4. Administrative Oversight
  • Manage routine administrative tasks, including leave management, recruitment formalities, onboarding of new team members, and other HR-related processes.
  • Coordinate team resource planning and workload balancing.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and compliance requirements.
5. Team Competency Development
  • Design and implement initiatives to upskill team members in both technical and functional domains.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth.
  • Organize training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops to keep the team updated on industry trends and technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Core Competencies:
  • Proven Expertise: At least 5 years of experience managing IT services projects with diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to inspire, lead, and manage teams with varied skill sets and seniority levels.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with IT services and technologies, such as cloud computing, software development process, data analytics, cybersecurity. Experience in build and release management will be given preference.
  • Client-Focused: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and deliver exceptional client service.
  • Organizational Acumen: Adept at prioritizing tasks, managing resources, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools like Microsoft Azure DevOps, JIRA.
  • Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and service delivery best practices.
