Position Overview:
The Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that align with the company’s cost reduction goals, risk management, and supplier performance improvement. This role requires a deep understanding of the market, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for key categories, focusing on cost savings, quality improvement, and risk mitigation.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, evaluate market trends, and understand cost drivers.
Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting processes to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Manage supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality, performance, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Quality, Operations) to understand requirements and ensure alignment with sourcing strategies.
Monitor and manage supplier performance through regular reviews, audits, and scorecards.
Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain by developing contingency plans and diversifying the supplier base.
Drive initiatives for process improvement, cost reduction, and value creation within the supply chain.
Prepare and present reports on sourcing activities, savings, and supplier performance to senior management.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and strategic sourcing and procurement best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is preferred.
8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a proven track record of successful sourcing initiatives.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with supplier relationship management and performance evaluation.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba).
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements
