Head-Civil Engineering


Role & responsibilities :


The Head of Civil Engineering plays a critical leadership role within the civil & construction domain, combining technical expertise with strategic oversight and coordination. Their responsibilities include:


  1. Strategic Planning and Leadership
  • Setting the vision, strategy, and objectives for the civil engineering department.
  • Allocating resources, budgets, and timelines to achieve project goals.


2. Team Management and Coordination

  • Supervising and coordinating the work of civil engineers, technicians, contractors, and consultants.
  • Providing technical guidance, feedback, and mentoring to team members.


3. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaising with clients, stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and other disciplines.
  • Ensuring clear communication to align project outcomes with the expectations of all parties.


4. Project Oversight

  • Ensuring the design and construction of projects meet specifications, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Overseeing quality control, risk management, and compliance with safety standards.


5. Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Promoting the adoption of innovative technologies and practices within the department.
  • Evaluating performance metrics to drive efficiency and effectiveness in operations.


The Head of Civil Engineering ensures the successful delivery of civil engineering projects Civil Maintenance & Repair, while fostering collaboration, maintaining quality standards, and driving organizational objectives.


Preferred candidate profile :


Educational Background:


  • A bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field is essential.
  • A masters degree in civil engineering, project management, or structural engineering can provide a competitive edge.


Experience

  • Several years of experience in civil engineering design, project management, and team leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful project delivery and leadership within civil engineering projects.
