Salary : 50 to 60 lac per Annum


1. JOB PURPOSE

The job purpose of this role is to ensure the development and delivery of design solutions that meet these criteria and contribute to the success of the project." "Everything starts from design. A well-designed plant is more than half the success of the contract. Large emphasis will be placed on delivering the 'Right design solution,' which will be Technically Sound, Optimal, Economical, Safe, Modular, Environmental, Lean, and Standard.


2. RESPONSIBILITIES


Design and Equipment Selection: Lead the design and equipment selection process for process plants, including grinding, dryers, and pollution control equipment, ensuring alignment with project specifications and industry standards

Pollution Control Systems: Design pollution control systems for environmental compliance, conducting environmental studies, soil analysis, and preparing ESG reports to mitigate environmental impact.

Material and Chemical Selection: Select and optimize materials, chemicals, and binders for mineral processing applications, focusing on metal (steel, aluminum), mineral processing, beneficiation, and agglomeration, while considering efficiency and environmental impact.

Safety and Environmental Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards, including chemical and fire safety regulations, and conduct ISO 14001 environmental aspect and impact studies to promote a safe and sustainable working environment.

Waste Processing and Treatment: Manage waste processing and treatment strategies, emphasizing recycling, reuse, and repurposing to minimize environmental footprint and promote sustainable practices.

Energy Management: Implement energy management strategies to optimize energy usage and reduce environmental impact in process plants, contributing to overall operational efficiency.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal project teams, external suppliers, and regulatory agencies to align designs with project goals, procure necessary resources, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

3. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Project Teams: Collaborate with project teams to ensure design alignment with project requirements and timelines, facilitating effective project delivery.

Suppliers: Coordinate with suppliers to procure materials, chemicals, and equipment for process plants and pollution control systems, ensuring quality and reliability

Regulatory Agencies: Interface with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, fostering a culture of compliance and sustainability.

4. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES/COMPETENCIES


Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering with a minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in process plant design and pollution control systems.

Competencies:

  • Technical Expertise: Strong background in chemical and environmental engineering, with proficiency in process plant design, pollution control, and waste management.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct environmental studies, soil analysis, and ESG reporting, coupled with sound judgment in material and chemical selection.
  • Regulatory Compliance: In-depth knowledge of safety standards, including chemical and fire safety regulations, and experience in conducting ISO 14001 environmental management studies.
  • Sustainability Focus: Commitment to promoting sustainable practices, including waste recycling, energy management, and environmental impact mitigation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuous Learning: Proactive approach to staying updated on advancements in material technology, metallurgy, and environmental engineering to drive innovation and improvement.Strong Numerical ability and should be a commercial acumen
