About Us:

The ffreedom app is India's premier livelihood platform, designed to empower individuals across various sectors by providing practical video-based learning. With a library of over 500+ courses, the app covers a wide range of topics, including personal finance, agriculture, animal husbandry, and numerous business sectors such as handicrafts, retail, service industries, and home-based ventures.

 

We also offer a mentor-connect service via which individuals can seek guidance from a mentor. The platform also offers a marketplace enabling our customers to buy or sell their products. Recently we have launched an AI Powered bot (SRI Chatbot) which can help customers to seek knowledge on any of the topics related to the categories we offer in the platform.

 

Our mobile app serves over 1.3 crore users and offers courses in six languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu. We are looking for a QA Lead to ensure top-notch quality across our mobile, web, and desktop applications, driving an exceptional user experience for our growing community.



Role Overview:

As a QA Lead, you will spearhead quality assurance processes across all platforms, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. You will lead a team of QA engineers, oversee manual and automated testing efforts, and collaborate closely with product and development teams to create seamless, user-friendly applications.

Responsibilities:

1.     Leadership & Team Management

a.      Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

b.     Define and implement robust testing strategies and quality assurance standards.

c.      Define a roadmap for automated testing and implement it.

2.     Testing & Quality Assurance

a.      Oversee the design, execution, and documentation of test plans and test cases for mobile, web, and desktop applications.

b.     Ensure thorough testing across various devices, operating systems, and browsers, covering functionality, usability, and performance.

3.     Automation Testing

a.   Identify automation opportunities and integrate automated testing into QA processes.

b.     Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.

c.      Streamline regression and smoke testing processes through automation.

4.     Defect Management

a.      Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution with root cause analysis.

b.     Participate in defect triage meetings and collaborate with developers for debugging.

5.     Execution and Monitoring

a.      Ensure timely execution of manual and automated test cases.

b.     Monitor test progress and provide detailed test reports with clear metrics.

c.      Track and manage defects using tools like JIRA, ensuring timely resolution

6.     Process Optimization

a.      Design and implement comprehensive QA processes, frameworks, and test plans.

b.     Establish and refine QA best practices to optimize test coverage and efficiency.

c.      Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.

7.     Collaboration & Communication

a.      Work closely with product management, development, and UX teams to ensure alignment on requirements and timelines.

b.     Provide regular updates on testing progress, metrics, and quality assurance outcomes.


Qualifications:

1.     Education & Experience

a.      Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

b.     5+ years of experience in QA, with 2+ years in a leadership role.

c.      3+ years of experience in quality assurance and testing for mobile, web, and desktop applications.

2.     Technical Skills

a.      Expertise in automation tools like Selenium, Appium, TestNG, or Cypress.

b.     Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.

c.      Proficiency in API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).

d.     Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter is a plus.

e.      Familiarity with CI/CD tools and microservices architecture.

3.     Soft Skills

a.      Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

b.     Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

c.      Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and delivering quality products.
