Company Profile: We are hiring for a multi-national company providing IT services. It provides software and consultancy services in different industries like Finance, Education, Insurance, Retail, Energy, Life Science, and Healthcare.

Experience Range:4 to 12 years

Location: Pune/Bangalore

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have (Ideally should not be more than 3-5)

  1. Hands on experience in SCALA, should be able to write and understand the scripts
  2. Should be aware of Test-Driven Development. Should be able to create unit test framework and maintain it.
  3. Should be able to perform Git Operations independently


Good-to-Have

  1. Experience with Software development with Scala
  2. Experience with Agile development approach
  3. Exposure to CI-CD framework


Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

  1. Self-Organize and manage SCALA based Software development
  2. Should be able to analyze and identify root causes, fix the issues
  3. Should be able to create Unit test cases, validate the features and deliver on time
  4. Optimize code for performance and scalability
  5. Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of projects


Required Technical Skill Set

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

  1. Advanced knowledge in Scala programming
  2. Advanced knowledge in testing (knowledge about test methods, test strategies, mocking, …)
  3. Fundamental knowledge in C language (generated code artefacts)
  4. Fundamental knowledge about main Git commands (push, pull, rebasing inside branches, resolving merge conflicts, …)
  5. Command line affinity (not dependent on availability of UI)
  6. Configuration management with Ansible
  7. Version control using Git
