Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accounts Head at Sleepmax - Bhagwati Foam Limited located in Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The Accounts Head will be responsible for managing financial statements, account management, team management, and overseeing finance operations on a day-to-day basis.


1.      Accounts Management:

·      Oversee account’s function end to end including daily booking of entries, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Salaries, monthly closure of books, financial reporting.

·      Oversea preparation of monthly stock.

·      Finalize accounts and ensure all financial statements are prepared accurately and on time.

·      Oversee import documentation and clearing.

·      Consistently analyzing of financial data and presenting financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.

·      Work closely with the external auditor for final standalone and consolidated audits.

 

2.      Compliance

·      Manage GST returns, TDS returns, personal tax returns, and all other Indian tax compliances.

·      Ensure accurate, timely filing of monthly GSTR 1, GSTR3B, and annual returns GSTR 9/9C, monthly reconciliation with GSTR 2B and 3B with books..

·      Ensure timely payments of HR related compliance like PF,PT, ESCI

 

3.      Personal Accounts and Income Tax Management:

·      Calculate and manage advance tax and self-assessment tax.

·      Prepare and oversee employee TDS declarations and Form 16.

·      Manage personal accounting of directors including bank statements, insurances, personal rents etc.

 

4.      Bank related Tasks

 

·      Maintain relationship with banking managers

·      Bank stock preparation

·      Oversea preparation of Bank documents

 

5.      Team Leadership:

1.      Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

2.      Manage, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team, ensuring high levels of performance and engagement.

·      Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounts management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

·      Proven experience in the consolidation of accounts

·      Strong knowledge of GST returns, TDS returns, personal tax returns, and other Indian tax compliances.

·      Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

·      Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

·      Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel) is essential.
