Key Responsibilities

Workday HCM Configuration and Maintenance:

  • Lead the configuration and ongoing management of various Workday HCM modules, including Core HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Talent, and Performance Management.
  • Continuously update system configurations to meet evolving business and compliance requirements, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Ensure data integrity through regular audits and system validations.


Business Process Optimization:

  • Analyze HR workflows and processes, recommending and implementing enhancements to streamline operations and improve user experience.
  • Configure and maintain complex business processes, such as employee onboarding, offboarding, job changes, promotions, and performance evaluations.


Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Partner closely with HR, Payroll, and IT to gather and implement system requirements, ensuring seamless integration across departments.
  • Serve as a Workday HCM subject matter expert (SME), providing technical guidance on system capabilities and enhancements.


Reporting and Analytics:

  • Design and maintain custom reports and dashboards in Workday for HR, Payroll, and management teams to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Analyze workforce trends and provide insights into key HR metrics, such as employee demographics and headcount.


System Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Lead system testing efforts, including new feature implementation, upgrades, and business process changes.
  • Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve issues before deployment.


User Training and Support:

  • Develop training materials and conduct ongoing training sessions for HR and business leaders to ensure effective system usage.
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support, addressing and resolving system issues efficiently.


Compliance and Data Security:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including GDPR, SOX, and pharmaceutical industry-specific guidelines.
  • Collaborate with HR and Legal teams to maintain data security and handle employee information securely.


Key Qualifications

Workday Expertise:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience working with Workday HCM, including configuring Core HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Talent, and Performance Management.
  • Proven experience configuring complex business processes and designing custom Workday reports.


Pharmaceutical Industry Experience (Preferred):

  • Prior experience with HRIS systems within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industries is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific compliance regulations.


Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in Workday reporting tools (calculated fields, advanced reports, dashboards).
  • Experience with Workday integrations and related tools (EIBs, Workday Studio) is a plus.


Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities to resolve system issues and develop innovative solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.


Communication and Collaboration:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • Strong collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork with diverse stakeholders.
