We are seeking a skilled Database Specialist( Production Operations Automation Developer) to automate backend processes by converting MySQL stored procedures into efficient, scalableservices using Node.js and Kafka. As a critical player in the production operations team, you will streamline and optimize our systems, ensuring faster, more reliable services for our clients. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Database Optimization: Convert MySQL stored procedures into scalable services, enhancing performance and efficiency.
  • Service Development: Design and implement backend services in Node.js, improving upon the existing stored procedures for maintainability.
  • Kafka Integration: Integrate services with Kafka for reliable messaging, real-time data handling, and inter-service communication.
  • Process Automation: Automate recurring backend workflows to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with DBAs, DevOps engineers, and developers for seamless backend service integration.
  • Performance Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve performance issues in the database and backend, ensuring stability and scalability.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for processes, services, and workflows to aid team knowledge-sharing.


Technical Skills:

  • Extensive experience in MySQL, focusing on stored procedures, triggers, and optimization.
  • Proficient in Node.js for backend service development.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka in distributed, event-driven architectures.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker).
  • Competence in API development and RESTful services.


Soft Skills:

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills for diagnosing performance bottlenecks.
  • Automation Focus: Proven experience with automation tools to streamline production workflows.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Scripting experience with Python.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation.
  • BE/Masters in Computers or IT.
