HEAD - INVESTOR RELATIONS


Role Purpose

The incumbent will play an important role in maintaining and enhancing relationships between Our clients and its shareholders and play a crucial role in conveying the company's financial performance, strategy, and future outlook to the investment community. The IR Professional acts as a bridge between the company and the financial markets, ensuring transparent communication and building trust with investors.


Key Responsibility

  • Communication: Develop and implement a comprehensive investor relations strategy. Act as the primary point of contact for the investment community, including analysts, institutional investors and individual shareholders. Prepare and publish accurate and timely financial information, earnings releases, and relevant updates.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Prepare and release timely and accurate financial reports, including quarterly earnings releases and annual reports.
  • Analyze financial statements and market trends to provide insights into the company's performance.
  • Monitor peer and industry benchmarks to assess the company's competitive position.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for investor meetings and conferences.
  • Investor Meetings and Conferences: Organize and participate in meetings and conferences to address investor inquiries and concerns regarding the company's financial performance, strategy, and outlook.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to financial reporting and disclosure.
  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to adhere to SEC (or equivalent) guidelines.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential investors.
  • Act as a liaison between executives and the investment community, conveying investor sentiment and feedback to internal stakeholders.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities.
  • Provide Internal Stakeholders and Leadership team with insights into investor perceptions and market dynamics.
  • Adaptability: The financial markets and business environments are dynamic. IR professionals should be adaptable and able to adjust strategies based on changes in the market, industry dynamics, or regulatory landscape.
  • Crisis Management: Develop and implement crisis communication plans to address unexpected events affecting the company's reputation and stock value.


Qualification & Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with a relevant and strong 15+ years of background & understanding of financial markets, securities regulations and corporate finance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
  • Relationship-building and networking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with Leadership, Finance teams and external stakeholders


Critical Competencies & Experience

  • Good executive presence, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • These competencies collectively contribute to an effective Investor Relations function, enabling professionals to navigate the complexities of financial markets while building and maintaining positive relationships with investors and stakeholders
  • Financial Acumen: A deep understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial metrics is crucial. This includes the ability to analyze financial data and draw meaningful conclusions
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with investor relations tools, financial software, and communication platforms is important. IR professionals should be comfortable using technology to streamline processes and enhance communication.
  • Project Management: Investor relations professionals often coordinate events, presentations, and roadshows. Effective project management skills are crucial to ensure these activities are well-organized and executed seamlessly.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills are required to interpret financial data, assess market trends, and provide insights into the company's performance. This includes the ability to use financial analysis tools and interpret market research
  • Strategic Thinking: IR professionals need to have a strategic mindset to align communication strategies with the company's overall business goals. This includes anticipating investor concerns and proactively addressing them
