Stax is a well-established furniture manufacturer based in Mumbai, known for our quality craftsmanship and timely delivery. Our factory in Vasai is the hub of our operations, where design meets execution.


The Role


We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Coordinator to join our production team. You will be the central nerve center for our manufacturing schedule, ensuring that production orders flow smoothly from the raw material stage to finished goods, ready for dispatch. Your primary mission will be to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities


Production Planning & Scheduling:


· Create, maintain, and communicate the detailed master production schedule (MPS) for all manufacturing orders.

· Plan and sequence production activities across different workshop sections (e.g., cutting, assembly, finishing, upholstery) to optimize workflow and machine utilization.

· Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials like wood, laminates, hardware, and fabrics as per the production plan.

· Allocate production batches to team leads and track daily progress against the schedule.


Coordination & Communication:


· Act as the main point of contact for order status updates, coordinating between the sales team, design team, and the factory floor.

· Lead daily production review meetings to communicate priorities, track progress, and identify bottlenecks.

· Liaise with vendors and external partners for specific components or sub-assemblies, ensuring their schedules align with our production timeline.

· Update all stakeholders on potential delays and provide revised timelines proactively.


Documentation & Inventory Support:


· Manage and track all production orders, work orders, and job cards.

· Maintain accurate records of production output, material consumption, and schedule adherence.

· Assist in monitoring inventory levels of critical raw materials and finished goods.

· Help in preparing reports on key production metrics like On-Time Delivery, Production Efficiency, and Schedule Attainment.


Qualifications & Skills


Required:


· A diploma or bachelor's degree in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.

· 1-3 years of experience in a production planning, project coordination, or scheduler role within a manufacturing environment. Experience in woodworking or furniture manufacturing is a significant advantage.

· Strong understanding of production processes and shop floor management.

· Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel for creating and managing schedules.

· Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Tally, or other production management software).

· Excellent communication skills in Hindi and English;

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


Preferred:


· Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or similar.

· Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen).
