Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic SEO Manager to join our team. The ideal

candidate will have a proven track record of driving organic traffic, improving search engine

rankings, and developing strategies tailored to the sports publishing industry. This is a unique

opportunity to make a significant impact on a growing platform that caters to passionate sports

fans. You will work closely with the content team and the developers to ensure that our SEO

efforts align with our business objectives and deliver measurable results.


Responsibilities:

● Create and implement effective SEO strategies to boost search engine rankings and

drive organic traffic.

● Conduct keyword research to identify high-value opportunities and optimize content for

targeted keywords.

● Optimize website content, meta tags, and other on-page elements to enhance search

engine visibility.

● Collaborate with content team to ensure SEO best practices are followed in all published

content.

● Perform technical audits to identify and resolve issues affecting website performance

and search engine rankings.

● Work with web developers to implement technical SEO improvements, such as site

speed optimization, mobile responsiveness, and structured data.

● Develop and execute link-building strategies to improve domain authority and backlink

profile.

● Monitor and manage online reputation and brand mentions to support SEO goals.

● Track, analyze, and report on key SEO metrics using tools such as Google Analytics,

Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs.

● Provide regular performance reports and insights to the team and suggest actionable

improvements.

● Stay updated with the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and industry developments

to ensure our strategies are current and effective.

● Adjust SEO strategies based on performance data and evolving search engine

algorithms.


Requirements:

● A bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

● At least 2-3 years of relevant experience with sports news publishing wesbsite is a must.

● Proven experience as an SEO Manager or similar role with a strong track record of

improving search engine rankings and driving organic traffic.

● In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, tools, and techniques, including keyword

research, on-page and off-page optimization, and technical SEO.

● Experience with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush,

Ahrefs, or similar platforms.

● Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

● Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with

cross-functional teams.

● Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.

● Understanding of HTML and CSS is a plus.
