We are seeking a talented WiFi Software Engineer to join our Access Point Wi-Fi team in Bangalore. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop features on WiFi access points, focusing on improving user experience, WiFi performance, connectivity, and stability.
  • Design and develop WiFi software solutions, including firmware and driver development for various platforms.
  • Document Functional Design and test specifications while developing features, staying updated with the latest WiFi standards and industry specifications.
  • Debug and troubleshoot software and firmware issues using unit and automation testing.
  • Address and resolve bugs reported by QA and Escalation teams, improving the product's quality, stability, and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.



Skills Needed:

  • Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and Shell programming.
  • Expertise in Linux User Space and Kernel Programming, including IPC, Semaphores, Mutex, Spinlocks, Tasklet, Workqueue, and IRQ.
  • In-depth knowledge of 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be standards, with the ability to read and interpret the specifications.
  • Experience with WiFi chipsets and SoCs from leading vendors.
  • Proven track record of developing features from the latest WiFi standards (11ax+).
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS) and security protocols (WPA, WPA2, WPA3).
  • Familiarity with WiFi performance analysis and optimization tools (e.g., Veriwave, ixia Chariot).
  • Working knowledge of OpenWrt, Buildroot, and open-source software usage and integration.
  • Experience with Agile software lifecycle processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.


Education Qualification:

  • BS/BE/MS/MTech in Computer Science and Engineering OR Electronics and Communication Engineering
