Job Purpose
Responsible for establishing and managing the Quality Management & Assurance systems in conformance with regulatory requirements (DGCA) for NSOP and governance standards. Ensuring that all quality related policies, manuals and procedures for the company are aligned with regulatory & governance standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Shall report to the Accountable Manager with respect to all his duties and responsibilities and ensure that all operations personnel are properly instructed in their particular duties and responsibilities and the relationship of such duties to the operation as a whole.
- Will determine all flight operational standards and practices, and to ensure their compliance with all relevant national and international regulations.
- To cooperate, with all other company departments, in aiming for the highest possible degree of safety and for obtaining a satisfactory degree of punctuality, passenger comfort and economy,
- Shall publish, where necessary in cooperation with the airplane manufacturer and with others, the Operations Manual in accordance with CAR section 8, Series O, Part VII.
- Will have editorial responsibility for the Operations Manual to publish other necessary directives for the flight crew personnel.
- Will determine the usability of areas and aircrafts to be utilized for the company’s flight operations, and to establish minimum flight altitudes
- Ensure that operations are only conducted along such routes and within such areas for which o ground facilities and services, including met services, are provided which are adequate for the planned operation, the performance of the airplane to be used is adequate to comply with minimum flight altitude requirements, the equipment of the airplane to be used meets the requirements for the planned operation, current maps/charts are available.
- Represent, as far as flight operations are concerned, the company’s interests in national and international bodies and institutions,
- Ensure the functioning of the quality system within the flight operation and ensure that any contractor employed meets the required standards of the company when contracting for the provision of certain services - retains responsibility for the maintenance of proper standards.
- Approve procedures valid for subordinate functions and approve the conduct of flights or series of flights concerning safety or flight operational aspects.
- Ensure that all pilots are familiar with the laws, regulations and procedures pertinent to the performance of their duties, prescribed for the areas to be traversed, the aerodromes to be used and the air navigation facilities relating thereto. He shall ensure that other members of the flight crew are familiar with such laws, regulations and procedures as are pertinent to the performance of their respective duties in the operation of the aircraft.
Qualifications and Experience
- Graduate/Engineering /B-Tech/MSE or
- Management in Business Administration in Aviation/ Finance or HR
- QFI /QNI from Armed force.
- Senior Flight Operations Department Post with an existing Corporate Flight Department, Charter Company/NSOP.
- Experience of managing multiple fleet aircraft with minimum 5 aircrafts & experience in international operations.
