Pre Underwriting

Position Title: Pre Underwriter

Location: Mysuru, Karnataka

Shift: US Shift

Employment Type: Full-time & WFO

Roles and Responding

• Analyze and verify loan applications, including income verification, employment verification, asset verification, and credit history.
• Evaluate financial risk factors and determine loan eligibility based on established criteria.
• Order and review appraisals, title reports, and other loan documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and investor loan guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with Loan Officers, Processors, borrowers, and other parties involved in the loan process.
• Prepare comprehensive reports with clear justifications for approval or denial of loan applications.
• Stay up-to-date on changes in mortgage lending regulations and industry standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mortgage underwriting or a similar financial analysis role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly explain complex financial concepts.
• Proficiency in mortgage lending software and underwriting tools (Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac guidelines a plus).
