Job Description: We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow APM Architect with extensive expertise in Application Portfolio Management (APM) within the ServiceNow platform. This role requires a strategic thinker who can design, implement, and optimize APM solutions, ensuring they align with the broader organizational goals and IT strategies. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders across multiple levels to drive APM initiatives, enhance decision-making, and manage the application lifecycle effectively.


Key Responsibilities and Experience:

APM Strategy & Architecture:

  • Lead the architectural design, development, and deployment of ServiceNow APM solutions to ensure a comprehensive view of the application portfolio.
  • Define and implement APM frameworks that support strategic decision-making, cost optimization, and risk management.
  • Architect scalable and sustainable APM solutions that integrate seamlessly with other ServiceNow modules such as ITOM, ITBM, and CMDB.

Application Lifecycle Management:

  • Oversee the full lifecycle management of applications, including onboarding, assessment, rationalization, and retirement, within the APM module.
  • Establish application performance metrics and governance processes to ensure continuous improvement of the application portfolio.

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership:

  • Collaborate with senior executives, business leaders, and technical teams to gather requirements, define objectives, and translate them into effective APM solutions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations based on APM data and analysis.

Governance & Documentation:

  • Develop and implement governance structures, policies, and standards for the APM function.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of all APM configurations, integrations, and processes, providing clear guidance for ongoing support and enhancements.

Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:

  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex APM-related issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Provide expert-level support for APM-related incidents and challenges, guiding the team in addressing technical and strategic problems.

Technical Leadership:

  • Advanced understanding of ServiceNow APM architecture, including how it integrates with the CMDB, ITOM, ITBM, and other ServiceNow modules.
  • Design and oversee the development of custom APM patterns, integrations, and reports to meet unique business requirements.
  • Ensure the APM module is optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Cloud & API Integration:

  • Architect solutions that integrate cloud resources (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) into ServiceNow APM, ensuring a unified view of applications across environments.
  • Leverage APIs and custom integrations to extend APM capabilities and automate workflows.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in APM or related modules.
  • Extensive experience with ServiceNow ITOM and ITBM implementations at an enterprise level.
  • Proven track record in leading APM initiatives and delivering measurable business value.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams.
