Position Overview

The Business Development Manager (ULIPs) will be responsible for working in strategic planning, sales management, and prospecting for new clients to help grow an organization.. This role requires a highly driven individual with deep knowledge of financial services and insurance products, adept at identifying market opportunities, cultivating key relationships, and ensuring seamless collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to meet business objectives.



Key Responsibilities

  • Execute a comprehensive business development strategy for ULIPS in GIFT City(USD) & Domestic Markets (INR), aligning with Aviva India’s overall growth objectives.
  • Identification of new business opportunities and partnerships to drive both retail and institutional sales in GIFT City & domestic markets.-
  • Conduct market analysis and competitor intelligence to inform commercial decisions and refine business strategies.
  • End-to-end sales process, from lead generation to deal closure, focusing on expanding Aviva’s retail and institutional client base.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to deliver tailored insurance solutions for GIFT City’s unique market (dollar denominated products).
  • Achieve sales targets, ensuring consistent growth and meeting financial performance goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including institutional clients, brokers, and partners as well as regulators for GIFT City.


Required Skills and Experience


  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or commercial leadership roles within the financial services or insurance sector.
  • Deep understanding of GIFT City’s regulatory framework, financial infrastructure, and market dynamics.
  • Strong network within the financial services ecosystem, with experience in retail and institutional sales.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute operationally, delivering on both long-term and short-term goals.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • 4-5 years of experience in sales as mutual fund distributor.
