Primary Skills: Apache Cassandra, DataStax, DevCentre, Spark on Cassandra, Hbase

Nice to have skills: MySQL, Python, GIT, Node Tool, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes


Job Requirements:

  • and implement Cassandra database schemas based on business requirements and data modeling best practices.
  • the migration of MySQL databases to Cassandra, including schema design, data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
  • with cross-functional teams to analyze application requirements and optimize data access patterns for Cassandra.
  • and maintain scripts, tools, and processes to automate database tasks, such as backup, recovery, and monitoring.
  • performance tuning and optimization of Cassandra clusters to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • and resolve issues related to data consistency, replication, and performance in Cassandra environments.
  • database designs, configurations, and migration procedures for knowledge sharing and reference.
  • technical guidance and support to junior team members and stakeholders on Cassandra database development and administration best practices.
  • a Cassandra Database in an enterprise, Design, and Support data migration.
  • have performed at least one DB migration from RDBMS (preferably MySQL) to Cassandra.
  • existing database infrastructure and understanding migration requirements.
  • a data migration plan including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • with development teams to resolve data quality issues and optimize performance during migration.
  • performance tests and tuning the migrated database to optimize query performance.
  • up to date with the latest advancements in Cassandra and related technologies to ensure best practices are followed.
  • Nodes, Work on foundations, data models, etc.
  • database administration on a multi-datacenter cluster. Must have hands-on experience in setting up Cassandra cluster.
  • have experience in monitoring, performance tuning, and managing Cassandra cluster.
  • understanding of the complex inner workings of Cassandra, such as the gossip protocol, hinted handoffs, read repairs, and Merkle trees.
  • knowledge of architecting and creating Cassandra/no SQL database systems.
  • experience in writing Cassandra queries, materialized views.
  • in data structure design, Data Modeling in Cassandra.
  • deep understanding of Cassandra design principles, cluster connectivity, security, and the factors that affect distributed system performance.
