Senior Sales Engineer - West
Location: Mumbai (with coverage across Mumbai, Gujarat, and Maharashtra)
Reports To: Chief Sales Officer

Experience: Minimum 5 years in the pump industry only
Job Overview:
The Senior Sales Engineer - West will be responsible for driving sales and business development activities in Mumbai, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. The role involves identifying new customers, nurturing client relationships, and achieving sales targets for industrial pumps and dewatering solutions. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in B2B sales, technical knowledge of pumps, and a proven track record in the pump industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand Cosmos Pumps' presence in the Western region (Mumbai, Gujarat, Maharashtra).
- Identify new business opportunities, generate leads, and convert them into successful sales.
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers and industry trends.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
2. Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers, ensuring the right product selection for their needs.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
3. Product Knowledge & Technical Sales:
- Present and demonstrate pump solutions to customers, explaining technical specifications and benefits.
- Work closely with the engineering and service teams to provide customized solutions to clients.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the pump industry and competitor activities.
4. Negotiation & Deal Closure:
- Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and contracts.
- Negotiate pricing and payment terms to maximize profitability while meeting customer expectations.
- Coordinate with the internal team to ensure smooth order execution and delivery.
5. Reporting & Coordination:
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market insights.
- Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and business updates to the Chief Sales Officer.
- Collaborate with marketing, production, and after-sales teams to enhance customer experience.
Key Requirements:
- Mandatory: Minimum 5 years of experience in the pump industry (B2B sales).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Industry Exposure: Experience in industrial pumps, dewatering pumps, mining, construction, or municipal sectors is highly desirable.
Skills Required:
- Strong technical knowledge of pumps and fluid handling systems.
- Proven B2B sales track record with a focus on revenue growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a large sales territory.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and report preparation.
