Note: Need only Immediate Joiners.Job Title: Database Architect – PostgreSQL, Cloud, Banking DomainJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced Database Architect with expertise in PostgreSQL, cloud-based database solutions, and deep domain knowledge in the banking industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable, secure, and high-performance database architectures that support critical banking applications. This role requires a strategic thinker who can bridge business needs with technical excellence, ensuring compliance, performance, and resilience in a regulated financial environment.Key Responsibilities:Design and lead the implementation of enterprise-grade PostgreSQL database architectures for cloud and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).Develop and enforce database standards, best practices, and governance policies aligned with banking regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS, SOX).Architect high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and backup strategies for mission-critical banking systems.Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, partitioning, and replication strategies.Lead database migration projects from on-premises to cloud platforms, including data modeling, schema design, and zero-downtime cutover planning.Implement and manage database security controls, including encryption (at rest and in transit), role-based access control (RBAC), auditing, and data masking.Collaborate with application teams, DevOps, and security teams to integrate database solutions into CI/CD pipelines using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.Provide technical leadership in database capacity planning, scalability, and cost optimization.Mentor and guide database administrators (DBAs) and developers on database design, performance, and security.Stay current with emerging database technologies, cloud innovations, and financial industry compliance trends.Requirements:8+ years of experience in database architecture, with 5+ years focused on PostgreSQL and cloud platforms.Proven experience in designing and managing large-scale, high-availability PostgreSQL deployments in production environments.Strong expertise in cloud database services (AWS RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Google Cloud SQL).In-depth knowledge of database security, compliance, and auditing in regulated industries, particularly banking and finance.Experience with database automation, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible).Familiarity with financial systems such as core banking, payment processing, risk management, and transactional databases.Strong understanding of data modeling, normalization, and performance optimization techniques.Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions across teams.Nice to Have:Experience with database monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for database deployment.Certifications: PostgreSQL Certified Professional (PCP), AWS Certified Database – Specialty, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or similar.Experience with database virtualization, replication, and sharding strategies.Note: Need only Immediate Joiners.
