The ideal candidate must possess strong critical thinking and communication skills. This role is a key member of the Global Credit and Collections team within Palo Alto Networks. This person will be accountable for cash collections of a subset of the trade receivables portfolio and the relationship management with Palo Alto Networks’ external customers. Your ImpactFull collections responsibility for an assigned portfolio of accounts.Global coordination of processes across but not limited to Sales, Sales Ops, Order booking and other teams.Establish excellent relationships with assigned customer portfolio to ensure payment complianceSchedule and host conference calls with customers and support as needed.Drive customer account reviews with managementTake actions to encourage timely paymentsResolution of discrepant invoices, reconciling and matching debits/creditsPartner cross-functionally with Accounts Receivable, Business Units, Sales, Tax and IT departments to resolve collection mattersMonitor accounts to identify past due balances Ensure compliance with SOX 404 key controls Your ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or relative area experience, minimum 1 year in any role ( Credit & Collections Preferred )Experience with SAP ERPGood to have ERP experienceStrong reconciliation and analytical skills.Business acumen that affords you proficiency in business writing and speaking.Excellent communication skills (written and oral)Critical thinker with a risk-based approach mindset and strong problem-solving skillsAbility to build relationships across multiple functions and implement new processesStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and execute with accuracy and efficiencyIntermediate to advanced Excel skills requiredProficiency in Google Suite a plusYour TeamOur Credit & Collections team is a global team with personnel in the US and India. The team responds to external and internal requests daily. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, high level of accuracy, resourceful, organizational and time management skills. We partner closely with Accounts Receivable, sales, order fulfillment, revenue, and other operational stakeholders to ensure timely customer payments.
