We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer with a strong PHP background to build and maintain scalable, high-performing e-commerce solutions for the retail domain. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with WordPress customization, WooCommerce integration, and the ability to work with Node.js APIs for seamless backend connectivity.


Key Responsibilities

WordPress Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins using PHP.
  • Optimize WordPress sites for performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
  • Enhance WordPress functionalities tailored to retail and e-commerce needs.

PHP Development

  • Develop custom PHP modules and scripts to extend WordPress functionality.
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex PHP code and backend integration issues.

Node.js Integration

  • Integrate Node.js-based services with WordPress for real-time data synchronization and dynamic content delivery.
  • Work on API integrations to support features like product inventory, order management, and payment processing.
  • Ensure smooth data exchange between WordPress and Node.js backend systems.

E-Commerce Features

  • Develop and customize WooCommerce for retail-specific workflows.
  • Integrate and configure payment gateways, shipping methods, and tax calculators.
  • Ensure seamless user experiences across product search, checkout, and cart functionalities.

Performance Optimization

  • Optimize website performance using caching, database indexing, and code refactoring.
  • Implement security best practices to safeguard sensitive e-commerce data.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with UI/UX designers, project managers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Document technical designs, code changes, and development processes.


Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and WordPress architecture.
  • Experience with Node.js and integrating RESTful APIs with PHP-based systems.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like Bootstrap.
  • Familiarity with WooCommerce and its customization.

Domain Knowledge:

  • Understanding of retail and e-commerce workflows, such as inventory management, customer engagement, and sales tracking.

Other Skills:

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with tools like Git, Postman, and JIRA.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with headless WordPress development and custom APIs.
  • Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for Node.js application deployment.
