Position: WordPress Developer

Location: Remote 

Role Overview
As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing websites using the WordPress platform. Your role involves working on both back-end and front-end development tasks, including plugin creation, theme customization, and website performance optimization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and responsive websites.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Website Development:
    • Design and build responsive WordPress websites.
    • Customize themes and plugins as per project requirements.
  2. Technical Maintenance:
    • Regularly update WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
    • Identify and resolve website performance issues and errors.
  3. Plugin and Theme Development:
    • Create custom plugins or modify existing ones to add functionality.
    • Develop and modify themes to meet client or project specifications.
  4. Cross-Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with designers, project managers, and clients to align on requirements and deliverables.
    • Ensure website design and structure align with branding guidelines.
  5. SEO and Accessibility:
    • Optimize websites for SEO, speed, and accessibility.
    • Implement and test responsive designs across different devices and browsers.
  6. Troubleshooting and Debugging:
    • Monitor websites for security vulnerabilities and implement solutions.
    • Debug and resolve website issues promptly.


RequirementsQualifications
  1. Experience:
    • 1–2 years of hands-on experience with WordPress development.
  2. Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
    • Familiarity with popular WordPress page builders like Elementor, Divi, or WPBakery.
    • Experience with WooCommerce or other e-commerce plugins is a plus.
  3. Tools and Platforms:
    • Proficiency in debugging tools like Chrome Developer Tools, Firebug, etc.
    • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
    • Basic understanding of hosting environments and cPanel/FTP.
  4. Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  5. Education:
    • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred but not mandatory if the candidate has equivalent experience and skills.
