Vanilla Miel is a luxury pastry brand based in Mumbai, specialising in artisanal desserts that blend classic French techniques with modern innovation. Founded by sisters Mansi and Isha Shetty, the brand is celebrated for its meticulous craftsmanship and use of high-quality, edible decorative elements. Vanilla Miel's creations include entremets, tarts, and chocolates, known for their multi-textural and nostalgic flavours.

Building on the success in the world of pastries, Vanilla Miel is launching a new café vertical. This

new venture will extend our philosophy of celebrating complexity in simple things to a range of

savoury offerings. We aim to create a space where every dish tells a story, and every bite is an

experience.


Position

Chef de Partie - Hot Kitchen


Purpose of the Role


  • The CDP will spearhead our new café vertical, bringing expertise in savoury cuisine to
  • complement the current pastry offerings. The ideal candidate will design, streamline, and
  • execute the café concept, ensuring a seamless integration of savoury & sweet elements. This
  • role demands innovation, leadership, and a deep understanding of culinary techniques.


Prerequisites

  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in a professional kitchen in a café/ restaurant format.
  • Strong knowledge of European cooking techniques and contemporary café trends.
  • Ability to design and execute a cohesive café menu.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
  • A passion for innovation and continuous learning in the culinary arts.


Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Lead the development of the café menu, focusing on high-quality savoury dishes.
  • Streamline kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and consistency.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef & Pastry Team to create a balanced menu.
  • Train & mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Ensure all kitchen operations are conducted with the highest level of hygiene and safety.
  • Manage inventory and sourcing of ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality.
  • Monitor and control kitchen costs, contributing to the overall profitability of the café.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.


Salary & Leave:

Competitive salary of ₹50,000 to ₹55,0000 per month.

One leave per week, amounting to 4 days off in a month.
