Role Overview:

We are seeking a Government Tender Specialist with proven experience in managing tenders for central and state government projects in health, nutrition, wellness, or sports (including sports infrastructure). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of government procurement processes, the ability to prepare winning proposals, and expertise in navigating e-procurement platforms like GeM and state portals. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in driving Protein World’s growth in India’s public sector.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate tender opportunities across GeM (Government e-Marketplace), central government portals, and state e-procurement platforms in health, nutrition, wellness, and sports sectors.
  • Prepare and submit detailed and competitive bid proposals, ensuring compliance with tender specifications, timelines, and formats.
  • Manage the complete bid lifecycle, including pre-bid meetings, bid clarifications, and post-tender follow-ups.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government departments, public sector units, and procurement officials to identify new opportunities and enhance Protein World’s presence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather inputs on product details, financials, and operational capabilities for tender submissions.
  • Monitor and analyze tender announcements, amendments, and corrigenda to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
  • Stay updated on government schemes, funding programs, and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) opportunities related to health, wellness, and sports infrastructure.
  • Manage contract negotiations, documentation, and compliance with awarded projects.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing government tenders, preferably in health, nutrition, wellness, or sports (including sports infrastructure) sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of government procurement processes, including GeM, e-tendering portals, and state-level procurement platforms.
  • Proven track record of securing contracts in relevant sectors.
  • Strong technical skills to draft and prepare detailed technical and financial proposals.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with fluency in English and Hindi.
  • Analytical mindset to evaluate tender requirements and develop competitive strategies.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with public health or wellness initiatives in India.
  • Familiarity with government programs such as Khelo India, Fit India Movement, or other central/state schemes in health and sports.
  • Knowledge of sports facility development and infrastructure requirements.
