Project Planning and Scheduling:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar.
  • Identify project milestones, critical paths, and potential delays.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes and unforeseen issues.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and timelines.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and provide updates on progress, risks, and changes.
  • Address and resolve any planning-related issues that arise during the project lifecycle.

Cost Management:

  • Work with the project management team to develop and control project budgets.
  • Analyze cost impacts of changes and delays, and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  • Ensure that all project expenditures are tracked and reported accurately.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on the project.
  • Prepare risk assessments and contingency plans to address potential issues proactively.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, reports, and correspondence.
  • Provide regular progress reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.

Technical Expertise:

  • Apply engineering principles and practices to solve complex planning problems.
  • Utilize software tools and techniques to enhance planning efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, RICS) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in planning and scheduling for real estate or construction projects. Proven experience in a senior planning role is highly desirable.
