We are looking for a dynamic and creative Copywriting and Social Media Management Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting compelling content that aligns with our brand's voice, managing social media accounts, and understanding the basics of SEO to enhance our online presence. This role is perfect for someone passionate about writing, marketing, and social media, and looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:


Creative Writing:

  • Research and write engaging, informative, and original content.
  • Expert in Short-term and Long-Form Content - Write copies in content calendar, social media and in-depth articles, case studies, and blog posts that align with the company’s content strategy and resonate with the target audience.
  • Regularly update and optimize existing content to ensure it stays relevant, accurate, and engaging.
  • Assist in the development of content calendars and ensure timely delivery of content for various platforms.
  • Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to align content with overall brand strategy.


Copywriting:

  • Create compelling copy for advertisements, social media posts, email campaigns, and other marketing materials.
  • Expert in Short-Form Content - Create concise and compelling copy for social media updates, email newsletters, promotional materials, and website banners. 
  • Ensure all copy is clear, persuasive, and aligned with the brand voice and tone.
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy and consistency.


Social Media Account Management:

  • Assist in managing social media accounts by posting content, monitoring engagement, and responding to comments/messages.
  • Help develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Monitor social media trends and suggest creative ideas to enhance the brand’s online presence.
  • Assist in the execution of the social media calendar, ensuring consistent and timely posting across platforms.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities on social media platforms, including content scheduling, monitoring, and responding to community interactions.
  • Help develop and run social media campaigns, including contests, collaborations, and sponsored posts to boost engagement and brand awareness.


Basic SEO Knowledge:

  • Conduct keyword research to optimize blog posts and web pages.
  • On-Page SEO: Apply SEO best practices in writing, such as keyword placement, meta descriptions, alt tags, and internal linking to enhance visibility and search engine rankings.
  • Assist in monitoring website traffic and performance using tools like Google Analytics.


Content Research and Ideation:

  • Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, audience interests, and competitor content strategies to inform content creation.
  • Idea Generation: Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new content ideas and formats that align with the company's goals.


Collaboration and Learning:

  • Work closely with the design and marketing team to brainstorm ideas and contribute to content strategies.
  • Actively seek and incorporate feedback from supervisors and peers to improve the quality and impact of content.
  • Attend training sessions and workshops to improve writing skills and knowledge of SEO and social media management.

Content Quality and Consistency:


  • Accuracy and Relevance: Percentage of content pieces that meet editorial standards without requiring significant revisions.
  • Brand Voice Adherence: Consistency in maintaining the brand’s tone and messaging across all written content.
  • Audience Feedback: Positive feedback and engagement rates from the target audience on content published.


Social Media Engagement and Growth:


  • Follower Growth Rate: Percentage increase in followers across all social media platforms monthly.
  • Engagement Rate: Engagement rate as a percentage of total followers, with targets set for likes, shares, comments, and click-throughs.
  • Reach and Impressions: Increase in social media post reach and impressions over time.


SEO and Content Optimization:


  • Keyword Ranking Improvement: Number of targeted keywords that improve in rank on search engines.
  • Organic Traffic Growth: Increase in organic traffic to the website or blog from content and SEO efforts.
  • CTR and Bounce Rate: Click-through rates for SEO-optimized content and reduction in bounce rates on key pages.


Content Volume and Deadlines:


  • Content Production Rate: Number of content pieces (articles, blogs, social media posts) produced per week or month.
  • Deadline Adherence: Percentage of content delivered on or before agreed deadlines.
  • Project Turnaround Time: Time taken to complete assigned content or social media tasks, from brief to delivery.


Creativity and Innovation:


  • New Ideas Proposed: Number of new content or social media ideas proposed and implemented during the internship.
  • Successful Campaigns: Number of social media campaigns or content initiatives that meet or exceed engagement or conversion targets.
  • Creative Solutions: Examples of creative problem-solving in content or social media management.


Learning and Development Progress:


  • Skill Improvement: Demonstrable improvement in content writing, copywriting, SEO, or social media management skills.
  • Knowledge Application: Application of new skills or techniques learned during the internship to real-world projects.
  • Portfolio Development: Creation of a professional portfolio with examples of content, copywriting, and social media work completed during the internship.


Qualifications:


  • Understanding of social media platforms and the types of content that perform well on each.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO principles and social media platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
