Regional Business Head

Goal of position (Why was this position created?)
- Responsible for achieving
- Budgeted Regional Sales Targets
- Direct and Distribution Business
- Budgeted DSO - Achieve Profitability Targets for the Region.
- Key Account Management - Increase Market Share of Schaeffler
- Increase business with New Customers
- New Customer addition and development of white space
- Increase in Customer satisfaction.
Tasks (Description of main tasks)
- Achieve sales growth and profitability targets meet or exceed targets for the western region. Increase market share with key accounts. Increase product portfolio in the region.
- Add new market and customer accounts by aggressive penetration and support from business development or sector management team.
- Devise customer specific/market specific strategies with the help of sector team and ensure successful implementation of the same in the market place to ensure achievement of Schaeffler’s growth objective.
- Gather market intelligence through public domain to identify opportunities and support sales channels to develop new customer accounts by conducting joint visits, product presentation and support with market driven pricing for special products. Inspecting the enquiries based on specifications and competitiveness of the product. Working with the technical team to identify the correct product and work with pricing team for timely submission of offers to customers.
- Assign, monitor , review targets for sales channel partners and ensure targets are met or exceeded.
- Monitoring DSO and responsible for collection of payments from customers. - Coordinate with customer service team to ensure that timely deliveries are met as per the contract and commitments to customers.
- Mentor and lead the team in the region.
- Prepare monthly sales activity reports for submission to senior management.
- In addition to the duties listed above, the position holder must carry out tasks assigned by his/her superior that are essentially related to his/her duties.
Formal prerequisites for the position (e.g. training, experience, education etc.)
- Education/Apprenticeship
- Mechanical /Electrical Engineering Graduate and master’s degree in business administration (Marketing/Finance)
Job Experience: -
- 15 + years of work experience in sales and marketing with a large size company.
Language Skills:
- Fluent in English Communication both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of SAP/PC
- Firm in the utilization of modern and sophisticated IT tools (SAP Knowledge is beneficial)
Technical Knowledge
- Technical Know-how, products, and process knowledge
- Experience of leading and developing strategies for business unit.
- Knowledge of Industry Sectors
- Additional necessary knowledge or experiences
- High level of analytical skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Cooperative working attitude but with strong target orientation
- Ability to work under pressure
- Well-structured and organized
