We currently have an immediate need for a Logistics Coordinator for Gurgaon, India.


About the Role: This key position will report directly to the International Logistics Manager and is responsible for managing the logistics function between Aviat Networks and Airtel India from our Singapore Distribution Center as well as Drop Shipments from Suppliers directly to Airtel India. This position will work closely with various departments within Aviat to ensure a smooth shipment to Airtel, India. This position requires an experienced person to be able to work on their own initiative, understands the Customs Clearance, Import Documentation and domestic shipment requirements for Logistics within India and closely manage the full Logistics process.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the shipping coordination from the vendor.
  • Daily responsibility of unshipped and pending orders (in partnership with OF)
  • Understand the various shipping methods as it relates to ecommerce.
  • Optimize shipping strategies to reduce time in transit and lower costs.
  • Extract tracking information and other key data points from carrier websites or other online tools
  • Establish methodology for data mining and distill for analysis.
  • Partner closely with colleagues in Sales, Order Management, Order Fulfillment, Operations, PLM, and Supply Chain
  • Responsible for the Airtel ISense platform, update delivery & commitment profile in Isense. Responsible for domestic shipments between Airtel Warehouses to sites and sites to sites and complete all the required documentation for transportation with coordination with Airtel, finance & other department.
  • Full understanding of all modes of transport Road, Ocean, and Air.
  • Comply with laws, E-way bills regulations and other statutory requirements, like WPC, custom etc.
  • Responsible for export & import of shipments, handling related documentation, reviewing of shipping bill/bill of entry.


Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Freight Forwarding or Logistics Department and Inventory Management
  • Functional understanding of ecommerce, transportation industry, fulfillment operations or Customer Service a plus
  • 5+ years’ experience with the Oracle ERP System including Logistics and Inventory functions.
  • Functional understanding of Airtel’s ISense platform
  • Prior experience either in a Telecommunications or related industry preferred.
  • Very strong Oracle ERP system experience
  • Fluent in English and Hindi language
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively and concisely to all levels of management.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Able to prioritize demands and multi-task to complete objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent PC skills, especially Excel
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities at once and manage time appropriately.
  • Ability to work cohesively with multiple teams, acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to build relationships with our external partners, including our drop-ship vendors and carriers.
  • Demonstrate integrity, maturity, and a constructive approach to challenges.
  • Able to work under pressure especially at the end of our Quarters.
