Job Summary:


The Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) plays a pivotal role in driving strategic decision-making and financial performance by providing insightful analysis, forecasting, and budgeting support to the organization. This role requires a seasoned finance professional with exceptional analytical skills, a strong understanding of financial principles, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively to stakeholders at all levels.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Financial Forecasting:


  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial forecasting models to support short-term and long-term business planning.
  • Collaborate with department heads and key stakeholders to gather relevant data and assumptions for accurate forecasting.
  • Analyze trends, variances, and key performance indicators to identify risks and opportunities in the forecast.


2.Budgeting and Planning:


  • Lead the annual budgeting process, including the coordination of budget inputs from various departments, consolidation, and review.
  • Develop budgeting guidelines, templates, and timelines to ensure consistency and accuracy across the organization.
  • Work closely with senior management to align budget allocations with strategic objectives and financial targets.
  1. Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making on investments, cost optimization, pricing strategies, and other business initiatives.
  • Provide insightful commentary on financial performance, highlighting key drivers, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management or stakeholders.
  1. Management Reporting:

  • Prepare regular management reports and dashboards to communicate financial results, forecasts, and key performance metrics to senior leadership.
  • Develop standardized reporting packages to enhance visibility and understanding of financial performance across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve data accuracy and integrity.
  1. Strategic Planning Support:

  • Partner with the executive team to develop strategic plans and initiatives, providing financial insights and scenario analysis to assess potential outcomes.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities by conducting financial due diligence, synergy analysis, and integration planning as needed.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Build and lead a high-performing FP&A team, providing mentorship, guidance, and development opportunities to team members.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability within the FP&A function.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field;
  • Professional certification such as CPA / CA is a MUST
  • 14+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis roles, with a proven track record of success in forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, SAP ERP systems).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex financial information into clear and actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a keen business acumen and the ability to influence decision-making at the executive level.
  • Experience leading and developing a team of finance professionals.
  • Prior experience in a leadership role within FP&A, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
