Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GCP Data Engineer with a strong background in designing and implementing complex data solutions for enterprise-scale environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly Dataflow, and must be proficient in DBT (Data Build Tool), SQL, and Python. Experience with Terraform and familiarity with both Azure and GCP environments are highly desirable. This role requires a blend of strong technical skills, experience in DevOps methodologies, and excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Enterprise Data Solutions: Create complex, well-architected data solutions to support mid-to-large size organizations, ensuring scalability, reliability, and resilience.
  • Enhance Existing Data Systems: Conduct architectural reviews and lead design enhancement initiatives to improve existing data warehouse systems, solutions, and processes.
  • DevOps Integration: Apply DevOps methodologies and practices to infrastructure, cloud, and business applications to streamline data operations.
  • Ensure Compliance and Security: Improve systems to adhere to strict data compliance standards, implement security guardrails, and optimize costs.
  • Re-architect Data Solutions: Lead and contribute to the re-architecting of data solutions and processes for more streamlined, scalable, and efficient implementations.
  • Data Schema and Flow Management: Design and manage data schemas and oversee data flow through corporate systems and applications to maintain data integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Deliver End-to-End Data Solutions: Develop and deploy well-architected, end-to-end data solutions for a growing enterprise organization across multiple infrastructure environments and business applications.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Build strong partnerships and engage with various teams to create solutions that provide value to all stakeholders.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ yrs of experience in Data Engineering, with significant experience working with GCP services.
  • GCP Services Expertise: Hands-on experience with GCP services, including Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, etc.
  • Dataflow Proficiency: Extensive experience with Dataflow is a must.
  • DBT (Data Build Tool): Proven proficiency in DBT for data modeling, transformations, and optimization.
  • SQL and Python: Strong skills in SQL and Python for data manipulation, analysis, and process automation is preferred.
  • Terraform: Experience in using Terraform for managing infrastructure as code is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.


Other Expectations:

  • Azure and GCP Experience: Familiarity with both Azure and GCP environments, especially in the context of data migration from Azure to GCP.
  • Domain Experience: Experience in logistics and sales domains.
  • Leadership and Strategic Input: Ability to lead strategic discussions, provide technical guidance, and drive data strategy initiatives.
  • DevOps Mindset: Experience in applying DevOps principles to enhance data workflows and infrastructure automation.
