COUNTRY MANAGER, INDIA (PUNE BASED POSITION)


MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: A minimum of 10 years of related working experience in the development / NGO sector.


An international, community development NGO is seeking a Country Manager for its India operations. 


The position, based in Pune, will have the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee NGO operations across India.
  • Research and identify new potential donors by reviewing available grants, following-up on leads, and assessing web-based resources such as corporate annual reports, and business directories.
  • Develop new prospective donors through research and email outreach.
  • Establish and manage in-country partner relationships with corporate donors.
  • Lead program planning for the organization's country-wide programs and projects.
  • Manage supply chain logistics - including procurement, shipping, and receiving.
  • Facilitate annual and monthly budgets and expense reporting.
  • Support annual planning process.


Essential requirements for this position are as follows:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of related working experience in the development / NGO sector.
  • Ability and desire to work and travel to community projects across India with occasional international travel.
  • Complete fluency in spoken and written English as a mandatory requirement.
  • Business level skills in managing finances (expenses) and budgets.
  • Good communication and interpersonal analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated and able to demonstrate great individual initiative, ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and be process oriented.
