Overview: We are looking for a diligent Site Engineer with a specialization in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) to manage and oversee MEP systems in our construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth project execution, compliance with quality standards, and adherence to timelines and budgets.


Responsibilities:


  1. MEP System Management:
  • Supervise the installation and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with MEP consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Address technical queries related to MEP systems and provide guidance for resolution.


  1. Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct inspections and tests to verify that MEP installations meet specified standards and functional requirements.
  • Enforce quality control protocols and perform corrective actions when deviations occur.


  1. Project Coordination:
  • Work with architects, engineers, and construction managers to integrate MEP systems into overall project plans.
  • Monitor project timelines and schedules, making adjustments as necessary to keep the project on track.


  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive records of MEP installations, inspections, and tests.
  • Generate regular reports on project status, including progress, challenges, and potential risks.


  1. Cost Control:
  • Assist in budgeting for MEP systems and monitor expenditures to prevent overruns.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement of MEP components.


  1. Team Management:
  • Supervise and guide MEP subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with project goals.
  • Facilitate training for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.


  1. Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks associated with MEP systems and implement measures to mitigate them.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, minimizing workplace hazards.


  1. Sustainability:
  • Promote energy-efficient MEP systems and sustainable practices, including water and energy conservation measures.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in MEP system management within the construction industry.
  • In-depth understanding of MEP systems, codes, and regulations.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with MEP-related software and tools.
  • Knowledge of environmental and sustainability norms in construction.
