The Role

Strattek is looking for a staff accountant who is pro-active, thrives in an automated environment, and produces a high volume of timely and accurate work. It is essential to be well- versed in all facets of general ledger accounting to ensure success in this role. The team provides certain accounts payable and accounting services to a US-based client.

The ideal candidate is an individual whose career focus is accounting functions and desires to further develop their existing experience, knowledge, and technical skill. You will be self-motivated, detail oriented, have a commitment to continuous improvement, be creative, and enjoy working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and complex environment.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries
  • Record financial transactions accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Reconcile journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
  • Assist in the preparation of account reconciliations, maintain supporting documentation
  • Receive training in certain accounts payable processes to serve as a backup for the AP team
  • Assist with identifying and reviewing transactions for intercompany billings
  • Assess with the processing of fixed asset transactions in the fixed asset module
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned

Here's what you'll bring to the table:

  • Degree in Accounting, or related field
  • CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent certification preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting role
  • Proficiency in accounting software, experience with Oracle is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as part of a team
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with offshore teams is a plus
  • Sense of urgency and accountability to follow-up on pending issues or outstanding requests
