The Role

Strattek is looking for a staff accountant who is pro-active, thrives in an automated environment, and produces a high volume of timely and accurate work. It is essential to be well- versed in all facets of general ledger accounting to ensure success in this role. The team provides certain accounts payable and accounting services to a US-based client.
The ideal candidate is an individual whose career focus is accounting functions and desires to further develop their existing experience, knowledge, and technical skill. You will be self-motivated, detail oriented, have a commitment to continuous improvement, be creative, and enjoy working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and complex environment.
Here‘s what you‘ll do:
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries
Record financial transactions accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures
Reconcile journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
Assist in the preparation of account reconciliations, maintain supporting documentation
Receive training in certain accounts payable processes to serve as a backup for the AP team
Assist with identifying and reviewing transactions for intercompany billings
Assess with the processing of fixed asset transactions in the fixed asset module
Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned
Here‘s what you‘ll bring to the table:
Degree in Accounting, or related field
CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent certification preferred
2+ years of experience in an accounting role
Proficiency in accounting software, experience with Oracle is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as part of a team
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Experience working with offshore teams is a plus
Sense of urgency and accountability to follow-up on pending issues or outstanding requests
