Job Title : Plant Head (Post Harvest Agriculture Equipment Manufacturing Sector)

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Head to lead our manufacturing Unit at Tronica City, Ghaziabad operations. The Plant Head will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production, manufacturing, quality assurance, safety, and personnel management. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership skills, extensive experience in plant management, and a track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :-

1.    Lean Manufacturing – The candidate should have a deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and should be experienced in implementing Lean principles and methodologies to improve production processes, reduce waste and enhance overall efficiency within the manufacturing facility.

2.    Machine Manufacturing in Batches – Prior experience in overseeing the manufacturing process of machinery in batches, ensuring adherence to specifications, quality standards, and production schedules. Should be able to set up production equipment and machinery for batching manufacturing runs, including calibrating machines, loading materials and configuring settings based on production requirements.

3.    Quality Control – The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality control within the manufacturing Plant. This role involves developing and implementing quality assurance procedures, managing quality control staff and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements.

4.    COGS Control – Should have experience in overseeing all aspects of cost control related to the production of goods and to optimize the cost of goods sold, identify cost saving opportunities and ensure compliance with budgetary targets and financial objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cost management, strong analytical skills and a track record of driving efficiency improvements in manufacturing process.

5.    Manpower Planning – Develop and implement strategic workforce planning initiatives aligned with the Manufacturing Plant’s business objectives and production requirements. This role involves developing and implementing workforce strategies to ensure optimal staffing levels, talent acquisition, retention and workforce productivity. The candidate should have a proven track record of implementing effective manpower planning initiatives.

6.    Packaging and Forwarding – The Plant Head will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of packaging, warehousing and outbound logistics operations. He should be able to manage a team of packaging and logistics professionals ensuring efficient and timely packaging of finished goods and coordinating the shipment and distribution of products to Customers. Should possess a good track record of driving operational excellence in a manufacturing environment.

7.    Inventory / Production Planning – Should be able to develop and implement inventory control strategies, optimizing production schedules and ensuring efficient utilization of resources to meet production targets and customer demand. Analyze historical sales data, demand forecasts and inventory trends to identify patterns, fluctuations and demand drives. Monitor inventory levels, stock movements and turnover rates to identify excess or obsolete inventory, stockouts and potential risk or opportunities. Collaborate with Sales, marketing and operations teams to develop demand forecasts and sales projections for products.

Mandatory experience required :-

1.    Should be experienced in Understanding CAD & CAM Software’s .

2.    Strong understanding of ERP concepts, modules and functionalities, including but not limited to finance, supply chain, manufacturing and CRM.

3.    Sound knowledge of Laser Cutting Technology Operations and maintaining laser cutting equipment to produce high quality precision parts and components.

4.    Sound knowledge of Air Bending / Press brake operations.

5.    Knowledge of setting up CNC turning and milling machines according to job specifications,. Operational knowledge of CNC machines to perform turning, milling, drilling, threading and other machining operations.

6.    Sound knowledge of fabrication of sheet metal and process of transforming flat sheet metal into finished products or components using various fabrication techniques such as cutting, bending, welding and assembling. Sound knowledge of operation of fabrication equipment. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints or work orders to determine material requirements and fabrication specifications.

7.    Extensive knowledge of Powder and Spray painting, applying techniques like powder coatings and spray paints to various surfaces, ensuring high quality finishes and adherence to specifications. Sound knowledge of operation of painting equipment.

8.    Good knowledge of Metallurgy & Surface treatment process to understand & Improve the quality and Production process.

Qualification and Experience

1.    Mechanical Engineer from reputed institute

2.    Minimum 15 + years of experience

3.    At least 3 years of experience as Plant Head in a similar profile
