The App Modernization and Cloud Architect will:

  • Analyze client’s existing applications and infrastructure, design target state architecture using cloud patterns and best practices
  • Propose and build repeatable patterns to accelerate and move hundreds of applications or greenfield implementations
  • Be the technology SME for the modernization/migration of applications/platforms in the customer ecosystem
  • Ability to drive across the application life cycle by adopting modern engineering practices including DevSecOps, Automation testing, Application security and tools
  • Responsible for the evaluation of technical risks and map out mitigation and placement strategies
  • Responsible for advising on cloud architecture solutions to effectively meet the strategic needs of the business
  • Work closely with sales team to guide and evangelize patterns to help in navigating the customer ecosystem to build farming strategies
  • Be the anchor to the practice teams to bring the industry best practices and enhance our offerings and solution eco systems
  • Support the delivery teams with guided approaches, skill development and bridging the customer gaps
  • Be up-to-date on current and new CSP products and services with certifications and understand how to apply them to business needs

Key Skills

  • Over 10+ years’ work experience in applications design and development for both greenfield/brownfield with over 4 years of experience working with Azure.
  • Excellent work exp in C# / Dot Net Core / MVC 5
  • Work exp in Azure PaaS - Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, Storage account, Azure SQL, AKS, APIM
  • Azure Migration - On-prem to Azure Cloud ready solution
  • Good experience in application migration or modernization of .NET, databases and legacy to any public/private cloud with using both PasS or IaaS based implementation
  • Strong implementation knowledge of micro services, APIs, applying event streams for integration patterns.
  • Depth of technology experience in.NET and experience across varied patterns with broader full stack experience dealing with node js, DevOps, IaC, containers
  • Experience working with containerization of applications and deployment to target orchestration platform like Kubernetes or cloud native.
  • Experience with performing discovery and assessment of customers’ applications with knowledge of solving for target patterns.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team, as well as with various stakeholders.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively articulate complex cloud concepts
