Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Leadership: Lead the design process for the Carpets & Rugs category, from concept to final product, ensuring innovative, trend-aligned, and market-relevant designs.
  • Concept Development: Create mood boards and design concepts that resonate with the brand's vision and upcoming trends, catering to both global and local markets.
  • Product Development: Oversee the design-to-product process by collaborating closely with product developers and manufacturers to bring designs to life.
  • Market Research & Trend Forecasting: Stay updated on the latest design trends, materials, and technologies in the carpets and rugs industry, and use this knowledge to inspire new collections.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and production, to ensure that designs meet the required specifications, quality, and timelines.
  • Design Presentation: Present new concepts and collections to internal stakeholders and clients, communicating the design inspiration, techniques, and materials used.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of designers, providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster creativity and ensure a consistent level of design excellence.
  • Client Collaboration: Collaborate with clients for custom design projects, offering insights and design expertise to deliver products that meet their specific needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in carpet, rugs, or textile design.
  • Proven experience in leading a design team and managing the design process from concept to product.
  • Strong knowledge of design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD.
  • Ability to create mood boards and convert concepts into market-ready products.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong aesthetic sense, with an eye for color, texture, and materials.
  • Experience in working with manufacturers, product developers, and artisans.
  • Passion for design, innovation, and attention to detail.
