The Workday Financials Analyst will manage and optimize the Workday Financials system, ensuring seamless functionality across various modules. This role involves maintaining metadata consistency, improving business processes, managing user security groups, and ensuring system integrity. The Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to implement best practices, support system enhancements, and develop custom reports and dashboards. Additionally, this role provides global support for Workday Financials and engages with other financial systems and tools to automate processes and enhance reporting.
3 to 5 years of experience managing and optimizing Workday Financials systems, including functional configuration, testing, and business process optimization.
Responsibilities
- Workday Financials system management, including functional configuration, testing, business process optimization, and maintenance for the following modules: Core Financials, Procurement, Expenses, Assets, Adaptive Planning, and Prism.
- Maintain metadata in Workday Financials environment, ensuring consistency across all financial systems, removing deprecated members, and ensuring completeness of all members including cost centers, accounts, and companies.
- Maintain and modify Workday Financials business processes by simplifying business processes, eliminating redundant logic/steps, finding potential gaps in the business process, and improving the business process for better maintainability
- Maintain and review Workday user security groups to eliminate redundancy in role assignment and ensure users have appropriate security access.
- Maintain the Workday Financials environment by reviewing, researching, and troubleshooting system issues via the Workday Help system, and by monitoring, resolving, and communicating system alerts and integration errors promptly.
- Support team initiatives to enhance user involvement and develop SOPs documentation with Workday Financials functional users.
- Partner with diverse stakeholders to design, test, implement and maintain best practices for systems and processes within the configuration of Workday
- Configure, test, and implement new features and/or enhanced functionality for Workday Financials
- Partner with business, gathering requirements, developing fit/gap analysis, training on new features, and providing adoption recommendations of new functionality from Workday Financials releases and updates.
- Support user acceptance testing for Workday feature releases to ensure key user stakeholders understand changes and adopt the new, relevant, and applicable functionality.
- Develop, configure and modify custom Workday financials reports and dashboards
- Participate in implementations, upgrades, integration, support, and enhancement of other financial systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3 to 5 years of experience managing and optimizing Workday Financials systems, including functional configuration, testing, and business process optimization.
- 2+ years of experience with specific Workday Financials modules such as Core Financials, Procurement, Expenses, Assets, Adaptive Planning, and Prism.
- Proficiency in multiple financial business processes preferred: Procure-to-Pay (PTP), Order-to-Cash (OTC), Financial Accounting (FA), General Ledger (GL), Assets Management (AM), Budgeting, Cash Management (CM), Purchase Order Conversions, Expense Management (T&E)
- Proven track record of collaborating with diverse stakeholders and managing user security groups within Workday Financials.
- Experience in developing and maintaining custom reports and dashboards, as well as troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders and convey complex information clearly.
- Experience developing standard operating procedure (SOPs) documentation for Workday Financials and training system users.
- Experience in supporting user acceptance testing and managing system alerts.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Keeping abreast of Workday Financials updates and new functionalities to recommend and implement relevant features.
- Proficiency in excel (can perform complex functions)
