Job Description


We are looking for a self-starting, highly motivated individual with good communication skills to join our Network Operations Team. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Cisco Viptela SDWAN operations and troubleshooting. As a Network Engineer you will work closely with other IT support teams on network-related issues & projects to support multiple data centers & offices locations.


Responsibilities


Install, configure and manage Cisco Viptela SDWAN infrastructure .

Responsible for a large WAN environment, involving multiple networks and data centers, ensuring maximum availability.

Work effectively on cross-departmental projects

Support network administration & participate day to day operations & issues for Cisco Viptela SDWAN.

Perform troubleshooting analysis of problems with Cisco Viptela SDWAN infrastructure, working with ISP or vendors to open tickets & TAC.

Manage network systems back up.

Document network problems and resolution for future reference

Maintain network diagrams and documentation

Generate and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.

Monitor network performance, and implement performance tuning.

Provide prompt communication and status reports on critical activities


Requirements


Bachelorā€™s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar

2+ years of network administration/engineering experience required

Experience troubleshooting and tuning WAN networks

Expertise in WAN/LAN and transport technologies (Ethernet, MPLS, TDM circuits)

Proven ability to work with logical design models (Spanning tree, VTP, VLANs, physical cabling)

Knowledge of network protocols ( NTP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP,), network management protocols (CDP, TFTP, SNMP) and security protocols (SSH, HTTPS/SSL, AAA, IPSec)

Technical expertise in: Routing, Switching , Cisco Viptela SDWAN (vManage, vSmart, vBond), Onboarding of new router, Configure Device Templates & SDWAN Policies.

Networking: Switches, Routers, VPN, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, Latency, , QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS

Working knowledge of IP communication and routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)

Experience working in a team-oriented, joint environment, preferably in Banking Sector.

Experience with SolarWinds or equivalent enterprise monitoring and analysis toolset

Experience with disaster recovery ā€“ planning, implementation and maintenance

Methodical, meticulous person who is prepared to help instill the processes, standards and best practices in a diverse fast-changing environment

Industry certifications desired: CCNA , Cisco ENSDW.
