Job Overview:

GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS) is seeking a dedicated and dynamic faculty member to join our Management Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching post-graduate courses, conducting research, and contributing to the institute in academic administration. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career advancement and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching:

  • Design and deliver high-quality courses in specific areas of management. 
  • Develop course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and assessments.
  • Utilize innovative teaching methods to engage and inspire students.
  • Maintain office hours and provide academic advising to students.
  • Assess and grade student performance, providing timely and constructive feedback.


Research:

  • Conduct original research in the domain of expertise. 
  • Publish findings in reputable academic journals and present at conferences.
  • Seek external funding through grants and partnerships to support research initiatives.
  • Mentor students in research projects, theses, and dissertations.


Service:

  • Participate in departmental, college, and university committees.
  • Engage in community outreach and service activities related to the academic discipline.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and program review processes.
  • Assist in the recruitment and retention of students.


Professional Development:

  • Stay current with developments in the field through continuous learning and professional activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to enhance interdisciplinary education and research.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in the field of management from an accredited institution.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in teaching at the university level.
  • A strong record of research and scholarly publications in UGC Care, Scopus, WoS, ABDC, and like indexing. 
  • Experience with online teaching platforms and instructional technology is a plus.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment.
  • Commitment to student success and academic excellence.
